Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and love is everywhere in the air! Since inception, Bollywood has been setting relationship goals with its blockbusters movies, from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge to Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, from Masaan to Barfi, the list goes on and on.

While the industry was busy setting love standards for us, the actors never failed to add on to it. Be it on-screen or real life, here are some Bollywood power couples who we all admire.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini

Veeru and Basanti, as we popularly know them as, the couple first met in 1970 for their film Tum Haseen Mai Jawan. Their on-screen chemistry was a hit from the first film itself and the audience loved it. After many films like Seeta aur Geeta, Sholay, Dream Girl and a decade later, the couple finally decided to get married in 1980.

In an interview, Hema Malini shared an insight from the couple’s first meeting where she heard Dharmendra telling Shashi Kapoor “Kudi badi changi hai”.

Even though Malini’s parents were against the marriage of this beautiful couple as Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur with 2 kids, the couple powered through the challenges.

Dharmendra turned his religion to Islam when Prakash denied to give him divorce and that’s when Veeru and Basanti actually got married. After 42 years of marriage, they still continues to give us major couple goals.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone

The power-couple, the trend-setters, the OG! Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are surely one of the most talked about couples of B-town.

The couple got married in 2018 but their love story started back in 2012 while they were shooting for Goliyon ki Rasleela: RamLeela by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In an interview, Deepika revealed that during this 6 year long relationship, they both had their ups and down but never gave up on each other. Within the first six months, Deepika was sure about Ranveer Singh.

A lesser known fact about Deepika and Ranveer is that they had gotten engaged 2 years into the relationship itself, that’s how sure they were of each other from the very beginning.

It’s been 4 years and the couple is still head-over-heels for each other as it’s clearly seen on their social media handles. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are and will always be the power couple of Bollywood.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma

The couple who kind of started the trend of getting married in an intimate ceremony, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are no less of a power-couple in the industry and never fail to give us major relationship goals!

Kohli and Anushka got hitched in 2017 and were blessed with a baby girl in January 2021 who they named, Vamika.

In an interview, when Anushka was asked how the couple managed to build a successful marriage with such extreme careers, she beautifully replied saying they both are very simple people who want very simple things. She also added that they don’t see each other as two different people and that they are male and female versions of each other.

One thing that their relationship strongly depicts is Loyalty which is getting lost in today’s generation.
