Indian cricketer Virat Kohli announced on his Instagram the inauguration of his own animal shelter. The athlete has always been passionate about animals and their welfare, he shares the same dedication with his wife Anushka Sharma.
“To ensure health and support services to stray animals, Virat Kohli Foundation has now taken its first step towards animal welfare in collaboration with Vivaldi’s Animal Health. I want to thank my wife, Anushka Sharma, for inspiring me by her passion towards animals and for being a constant advocate for animal rights. I look forward to this opportunity to help the strays of our city.”

Anushka herself couldn’t be happier at Virat’s new initiative: the actress was also named PETA’s Person of the Year back in 2017.
Together they are creating a more sustainable life for animals, one puppy at a time.
