Priyanka Chopra is a phenomenon. Both as an actress and as a poster girl. Proof of this is that in recent weeks two world-renowned brands – Max Factor and Victoria Secrets – announced a partnership with the star. She is, without a doubt, an advertising’s darling.
Makeup brand Max Factor has named Priyanka as a global ambassador and creative collaborator. She will, of course, star in the brand’s beauty campaigns throughout 2021. In the years to come, she will play a key role in drafting campaigns to ensure they are true to her voice and expertise. “Priyanka is the modern embodiment of our diverse audience, and a champion of the empowerment that comes with transformation,” said the Max Factor owner Coty’s chief brand officer, Stefano Curti. The manager also added that “we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with her!”
“Can’t wait to share this journey with you all. Join me as we step into a new light to reveal our Xtraordinary selves”
Lingerie brand Victoria Secrets has also announced the signing of Priyanka to its team. However, no more models dressed as angels. Now, Victoria created the VS Collective. It is made up of a group of women recognized for their achievements and opinions. The hope is that they will help Victoria’s Secret reconnect with women who are tired of the brand’s narrow standards of beauty.
In addition to Priyanka, VS Collective includes Megan Rapinoe, the 35-year-old pink-haired soccer star and gender equity campaigner; the transgender model and actress Valentina Sampaio; Eileen Gu, the 17-year-old Chinese American freestyle skier and soon-to-be Olympian; the 29-year-old biracial model and inclusive advocate Paloma Elsesser, who was the rare size 14 woman on the cover of Vogue; the south sudanese-australian model Adut Kech and the journalist Amanda de Cadenet.
“Representation matters. It’s crucial for us to show everyone ALL over the world that they matter and are seen! As a founding partner of #TheVSCollective and advisor to the business this is exactly what I intend to do”
