Abhay Deol loves roles that stray from Bollywood‘s glitzy, glamorous style. His appearances on Ek Chalis ki Last Local, Dev D and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! are proof of that. Now, the actor is back to surprise fans, as he will be the father of a teenager in a new Disney movie, Spin.
It was on Instagram that the actor announced the news. “I am aware that most of my audience love me for making edgy, alternative narratives, that challenge the status quo. Which is why this film is all the more special as it is a departure from my own status quo, and catering to a much younger audience. Spin is a Disney film which will go live on their platform for the USs on August 13”.

Spin is about an american teen named Rhea Kumar, played by Avantika Vandanapu and Abhay will be playing her father, Arvind Kumar. Rhea will be seen going through a journey of self-discovery with the help of the unique world of DJ culture in the film.
